CRITICAL THINKING
I want to start to think about massive media literacy with the example of 1984 by George Orwell. Like most of us must know, this book show is a world without soul, that hates, fight and kill without knowing the reason; a world without a truth, that believe every single lie that falls from above.
I wonder if we are far enough from this kind of world.
Because, even with the knowledge of everything in our hands, we choose ignorance, we eat anything worried not about what does it really means but if it's sweet or spicy. We follow parties, soccer teams, races and religions just to hate the ones who are at the other side to the point of forgetting that those other ones are our brothers: you against me, he against us just because.
How far are we now?
To approaching to the understanding of the world were we live, we got to start analyzing and finding the real meaning of the culture, and how it connect us with each others. We got to try to be more human. That means to find the real message on the media instead of consuming thoughtlessly and follow someone else without asking what is he really searching of us, and how trustful he really is. We got to search this human factor on the movies, the books and the songs we know, on the late night show and the news channel to, on the propaganda etc., until we get the conclusion of what is going on around us.
That is critical thinking
